Terms & Conditions: Warranty, Repair & Return Policy

Last updated: September 2026

At Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods, every console is custom-built, restored, repaired, tested, and assembled by hand. Due to the custom nature of our products and services, please review the following policies before placing an order.

Custom Console Sales: All Sales Are Final

All custom Game Boys, Game Boy Advance systems, Game Boy Advance SP systems, games, digital courses, PDF guides, UV printed shells, custom modifications, and made-to-order products are built specifically for the customer.

New and used game cartridges are sold as-is unless otherwise stated.

Because these items are customized and assembled to order, all sales are considered final.

Orders are considered final once placed. Cancellation requests may be considered before production begins but are not guaranteed and are subject to a 30% restocking fee.

Cosmetic preferences, aftermarket shell tolerances, subjective feel, and buyer preference do not constitute defects.

Please review your order carefully before purchasing. If you have questions, contact us prior to checkout.

100-Day Limited Hardware Warranty

Custom consoles(this DOES NOT include repairs and/or console assembled from supplied parts) purchased from Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods include a 100-Day Hardware Warranty beginning on the date the order is marked delivered by the shipping carrier.

The warranty covers defects in workmanship, assembly, and installed hardware components supplied and installed by Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods.

Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods reserves the right to repair, replace, refurbish, or substitute components with functionally equivalent components when performing warranty service.

Warranty coverage does not guarantee a refund and does not extend beyond the original warranty period.

Approved warranty claims may be resolved through:

  • Repair
  • Replacement of defective components
  • Replacement console
  • Partial refund
  • Full refund

The chosen remedy will be determined at the sole discretion of Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods.

This warranty covers hardware-related functional failures only.

This is not a cosmetic warranty. This does NOT cover games/ROMs/UV printing/Everdrive services.

What IS Covered (Hardware/Function Issues)

Coverage applies to:

• Motherboard hardware failure
• Installed hardware components failing under normal use
• Installation-related defects
• IPS screen failure meeting pixel standards listed below
• Power system failure (excluding the USB-C battery, cables and normal battery degradation)

If a qualifying hardware failure occurs within 100 days, we will repair the console at no cost for parts or labor.

Replacement of parts is at our sole discretion.

Repairs are the primary remedy under this warranty. Refunds, exchanges, credits or other accommodations may be offered solely at the discretion of Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods.

What Is NOT Covered

The warranty applies strictly to functional hardware issues for custom consoles. This does NOT cover games/ROMs/UV printing/Everdrive services.

Warranty coverage does not apply to:

  • Accidental damage
  • UV printing wear/tear
  • Drops, impacts, or crushed systems
  • Liquid damage
  • Improper storage
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Damage caused during shipping by the customer
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic damage occurring after delivery
  • Shell cracks, fractures, stress marks, or broken mounting posts occurring after delivery
  • Battery degradation through normal use
  • Damage caused by aftermarket accessories
  • Damage caused by flash cartridges, chargers, or third-party devices
  • User modifications
  • Soldering performed by anyone other than Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods
  • Repair attempts performed by anyone other than Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods

Any repair attempt, modification, diagnosis, disassembly, or work performed by a third party immediately voids warranty coverage.

Aftermarket Parts Disclaimer

Many products sold and serviced by Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods utilize aftermarket components manufactured by third-party suppliers.

Minor variations may exist between aftermarket components and original Nintendo parts.

The following are not considered defects:

  • Slight shell fitment differences
  • Slight variations in button feel
  • Minor differences in button travel
  • Small differences in speaker volume
  • Variations in color tone or finish
  • Minor screen positioning differences
  • Minor cosmetic imperfections common to aftermarket manufacturing

Cosmetic preferences, aftermarket shell tolerances, subjective feel, and buyer preference do not constitute defects.

Customer Suppled Parts Assembly Service Terms

These terms apply to all Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Advance SP inspection, assembly, modification, troubleshooting, and related services involving a customer-owned console or customer-supplied parts.

By purchasing this service and sending a console or parts to GamerGirlGameboyMods, the customer confirms that they have reviewed and accepted these terms.

1. Service Scope

This service covers only the inspection and assembly work specifically listed in the customer’s order, invoice, or written service agreement.

The $50 intake and compatibility review covers receiving, inspecting, testing, and evaluating the submitted console and parts. This fee is non-refundable once inspection has started.

If the build can proceed, assembly labor starts at an additional $50. The minimum combined cost for an inspected and completed assembly is therefore $100 unless otherwise stated in writing.

Requests made after the original service is approved or completed are considered additional work. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Screen realignment
  • Installation of alignment brackets or jigs
  • Shell modification
  • Replacement of customer-supplied parts
  • Additional soldering or wiring
  • Charging-system repairs
  • Troubleshooting new or unrelated symptoms
  • Cosmetic adjustments
  • Correcting missing or incomplete customer-provided components

Additional work may require separate labor, parts, and shipping charges.

2. Customer-Supplied Parts

Customer-supplied parts are installed at the customer’s request and risk.

GamerGirlGameboyMods does not manufacture, sell, or control the quality of customer-supplied shells, screens, charging ports, batteries, buttons, cables, hinges, speakers, flex cables, or other components.

Customer-supplied parts are not covered by the GamerGirlGameboyMods parts warranty. No guarantee is made regarding their:

  • Quality
  • Authenticity
  • Compatibility
  • Fitment
  • Appearance
  • Performance
  • Charging behavior
  • Safety
  • Durability
  • Expected lifespan

A part successfully passing testing before return shipment does not guarantee that the part will continue working for a particular length of time.

If a customer-supplied component later fails, becomes intermittent, does not fit correctly, or requires replacement, all related inspection, labor, replacement-part, and shipping charges may be the customer’s responsibility.

Any replacement parts provided by GamerGirlGameboyMods are covered only by the separate warranty stated on the order or invoice, if applicable.

3. Compatibility and Mixed-Manufacturer Fitment

Aftermarket parts from different manufacturers are not always designed to work together.

Differences in shell molding, screen dimensions, adhesive thickness, mounting points, button size, battery compartments, charging ports, lenses, and other tolerances may affect the final fit or appearance.

Minor spacing differences, slight screen positioning differences, visible gaps, button-feel variations, color differences, or other cosmetic tolerances are not considered workmanship defects when they result from the design or fitment of customer-supplied parts.

An alignment bracket, jig, spacer, replacement lens, different shell, or additional shell modification may be needed to improve fitment. Unless specifically included in the original written scope, these items and the labor required to install them are additional services.

Some brackets or jigs may remain visible through clear or translucent shells. Approval of that work confirms acceptance of the resulting appearance.

4. Missing, Damaged, Defective, or Incompatible Parts

The customer is responsible for providing all parts needed to complete the requested assembly unless replacement parts are specifically included in the order.

If parts are missing, damaged, defective, previously modified, incorrectly installed, or incompatible, GamerGirlGameboyMods will provide available options before performing additional chargeable work.

Possible options may include:

  • Purchasing replacement parts
  • Approving additional repair or modification labor
  • Changing the requested configuration
  • Returning the console and parts without completing the assembly

If the customer declines additional work, the intake fee remains non-refundable and applicable return-shipping charges must be paid before the items are returned.

5. Prior Work and Undisclosed Conditions

The customer must disclose any known damage, corrosion, prior repair attempts, failed installations, missing components, charging problems, power problems, or other known issues before shipping the console.

Additional charges may apply when the received condition is materially different from what was described.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Torn pads or traces
  • Missing motherboard components
  • Damaged connectors
  • Improper soldering
  • Liquid damage
  • Corrosion
  • Broken shells or mounting points
  • Previously cut or modified shells
  • Damaged screens or flex cables
  • Failed charging components
  • Incomplete parts bundles
  • Damage caused by a prior installation attempt

Inspection may reveal conditions that were not visible or reasonably identifiable before disassembly. Approval of assembly work does not make GamerGirlGameboyMods responsible for hidden or unrelated defects discovered afterward.

6. Estimates and Additional Authorization

Any estimate provided before physical inspection is based on the information supplied by the customer and is not a guaranteed final price.

No additional chargeable work will be performed without customer authorization unless the customer has approved a specific additional-spending limit in writing.

Payment for all approved labor, parts, shipping, and other charges is required before the console is returned.

Turnaround dates are estimates and may change if additional problems, missing parts, replacement-part delays, or customer approval delays occur.

7. Testing

Completed systems are tested using the functions reasonably related to the work performed. Testing may include power, charging, display, controls, audio, game reading, and general operation when applicable.

Testing confirms only that the system or component performed as observed during the test period. It does not guarantee the future lifespan of customer-supplied parts or protect against intermittent failures that were not present during testing.

Accessories, games, chargers, cables, adapters, and batteries should not be included unless specifically requested.

8. Limited 30-Day Workmanship Warranty

Assembly-only services include a limited 30-day workmanship warranty beginning on the confirmed delivery date.

This warranty applies only to the specific assembly labor performed by GamerGirlGameboyMods and listed on the completed invoice or service record.

The workmanship warranty does not cover:

  • Failure of customer-supplied parts
  • Defective, incompatible, counterfeit, used, or damaged parts
  • Cosmetic or fitment differences caused by mixed manufacturers
  • Work or adjustments not included in the original service scope
  • Unrelated motherboard or component failure
  • Normal wear
  • Battery capacity or runtime
  • Damage from an incorrect charger, cable, or power adapter
  • Drops, impact, pressure, liquid, heat, contamination, or improper storage
  • Shipping damage
  • Customer disassembly, adjustment, repair, or modification after delivery
  • Work performed by another person or business after delivery
  • Problems that cannot be reproduced during inspection

Repair or correction under the workmanship warranty does not restart or extend the original 30-day warranty period.

9. Warranty and Return Inspection Process

The customer must contact GamerGirlGameboyMods before returning a console.

Photos, video, charging setup information, cable information, adapter information, or basic troubleshooting may be requested before return authorization is issued.

The customer agrees to reasonably cooperate with these troubleshooting requests. This may prevent unnecessary shipping or help determine whether the reported issue is related to the assembly work, a supplied component, or an external accessory.

Unauthorized returns may be refused or returned at the customer’s expense.

If inspection confirms a covered workmanship defect, GamerGirlGameboyMods will correct the covered labor issue at no additional labor charge. Standard shipping arrangements will be provided as part of the return authorization.

If the reported issue cannot be reproduced, the console functions normally during testing, or the issue is caused by a customer-supplied part, charger, cable, adapter, battery, accessory, misuse, or work outside the original scope, the customer may be responsible for:

  • Diagnostic labor
  • Additional repair labor
  • Replacement parts
  • Return shipping
  • Any requested upgrades or adjustments

No additional paid work will be completed without approval, but applicable diagnostic and return-shipping charges must be paid before the console is returned.

10. Shipping and Packaging

The customer must follow all provided packaging instructions and package the console and parts securely.

The customer should use a shipping service that includes tracking and retain the tracking information until delivery is confirmed.

GamerGirlGameboyMods is not responsible for loss or damage occurring before the package is confirmed as delivered.

Damage caused by inadequate packaging is not considered a workmanship defect.

When GamerGirlGameboyMods provides a prepaid shipping label, that label must be used only for the approved console and parts. Additional items, oversized packaging, or materially different contents may result in additional shipping charges.

Standard return shipping is included for normally completed assembly services unless otherwise stated.

Return shipping may become the customer’s responsibility if:

  • The received condition is materially different from what was disclosed
  • Required parts are missing
  • The motherboard or supplied parts are damaged or non-functional
  • The parts are incompatible
  • Prior installation damage is discovered
  • The service cannot reasonably be completed as originally presented
  • The customer declines necessary additional work
  • A returned warranty claim is not covered

11. Unclaimed or Abandoned Property

The customer must respond to service communications, approve or decline quoted work, pay outstanding balances, and provide any information necessary to return the property.

Property remaining in the possession of GamerGirlGameboyMods for at least 90 days after completion, cancellation, final payment request, or the last request for customer instructions may be treated as unclaimed property.

Before any sale, disposal, recycling, or other disposition occurs, written notice will be sent by certified mail to the customer’s last-known address. The customer will then have at least 30 additional days from the date the notice is mailed to claim the property and pay all outstanding charges.

Any disposition of unclaimed property will be handled in accordance with applicable Nebraska law.

12. Limitation of Responsibility

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GamerGirlGameboyMods is not responsible for:

  • Sentimental, collectible, or replacement value beyond the documented value of the submitted property
  • Lost game saves or other stored data
  • Loss of use
  • Lost profits
  • Incidental, indirect, or consequential damages
  • Failure of customer-supplied or pre-existing components
  • Damage or failure unrelated to the specific work performed

The customer is responsible for backing up any important save data before submitting a console or cartridge.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability arising from the assembly service will not exceed the amount paid directly to GamerGirlGameboyMods for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

13. Right to Decline or Stop Service

GamerGirlGameboyMods may decline, suspend, or stop work when a console or parts bundle is unsafe, excessively damaged, contaminated, incomplete, misrepresented, or not reasonably serviceable.

If service is declined after inspection begins, the intake fee remains non-refundable. The customer remains responsible for applicable return shipping and any previously authorized work or parts.

14. Acceptance of Terms

Purchasing this service, submitting payment, approving an invoice, or sending a console or parts to GamerGirlGameboyMods confirms acceptance of these terms.

The product listing, approved invoice, written service scope, and these service terms together form the complete agreement regarding the assembly service.

Any exception or modification must be confirmed in writing by GamerGirlGameboyMods.

Custom Order Requests & Order Notes

All builds are completed as shown in the applicable product listing and according to the options, upgrades, customizations, specifications, and notes included with the customer’s finalized order.

Any requested change from the pictured or default build, including changes to colors, screens, components, buttons, shells, upgrades, or other features, must be included in the order notes or submitted by email and confirmed by GamerGirlGameboyMods before production.

Requests or preferences discussed through Etsy messages, social media, or other communication channels are not considered confirmed order changes unless they are also included in the finalized order or separately confirmed by GamerGirlGameboyMods via email.

Customers are responsible for reviewing their finalized order and confirming that all requested selections, customizations, and changes are accurately included before production begins. GamerGirlGameboyMods is not responsible for preferences or requests that were discussed separately but were not included in or confirmed as part of the finalized order.

If a customer requests a change after the build has been completed because a preference, customization, or deviation from the pictured/default build was not included in the finalized order, the request will be treated as a customer-requested modification and not as a warranty claim or fulfillment error. The customer may be responsible for shipping, labor, replacement parts, and any other costs associated with the requested modification.

If GamerGirlGameboyMods fails to provide an option, upgrade, or customization that was clearly included in the customer’s finalized order or separately confirmed by GamerGirlGameboyMods via email, the error will be corrected at no additional cost to the customer.

Flash Cartridges, SD Cards, ROM Files & Everdrive Software Disclaimer

Flash cartridges, EverDrive cartridges, EZ-Flash cartridges, SD cards, ROM files, firmware, save files, operating systems, software configurations, and digital content are provided without warranty.

Due to the nature of removable storage media, software, firmware updates, user configuration, and third-party content, Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods cannot guarantee compatibility with every game, ROM file, save file, operating system version, firmware version, emulator, flash cartridge, accessory, or hardware configuration.

Warranty coverage does not apply to:

  • SD card corruption
  • Deleted files
  • Missing files
  • Damaged save files
  • Corrupted save data
  • Firmware issues
  • User firmware updates
  • Software configuration issues
  • ROM compatibility issues
  • ROM file corruption
  • User modifications to supplied files
  • Third-party software installations
  • Third-party ROM files
  • Third-party patches
  • Fan translations
  • Homebrew software
  • Cheats, plugins, or custom firmware
  • Any useage with emulation devices/non-Nintendo consoles

Flash cartridges and storage media are sold as-is.

Customers are responsible for backing up any ROM files, save files, firmware files, software, or other digital content.

Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods is not responsible for loss of data, save files, game progress, software configurations, ROM libraries, or digital content for any reason.

Returns, exchanges, refunds, or warranty claims will not be accepted for software-related issues, file corruption, compatibility concerns, missing ROMs, user configuration errors, data loss, or use on non-Nintendo devices.

Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim, customers must contact Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods via email within 100 days of receipt of console and provide (or 30 Days for all other repairs/assembled consoles):

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos and/or video demonstrating the issue
  • Any troubleshooting steps already performed

Additional information may be requested before a warranty claim is approved.

Customers agree to cooperate with reasonable troubleshooting efforts before a return is authorized.

Many issues can be resolved without requiring shipment of the console.

Return Authorization Requirements

Warranty returns require prior authorization.

Warranty claims MUST be postmarked within 15 days of approval. After that 15 days, authorization expires and a new warranty claim must be filed.

Do not ship any console without written approval.

Any return authorization, warranty approval, or prepaid shipping label issued by Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods expires 15 calendar days after issuance unless otherwise stated in writing.

Consoles not shipped within the required timeframe may require a new claim review and may require the customer to pay for replacement shipping labels.

Shipping Responsibilities

For approved warranty claims occurring within the warranty period, Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods may provide prepaid shipping labels at its discretion.

Customers are responsible for securely packaging returned systems.

Damage caused during return transit due to inadequate packaging may not be covered under warranty.

Customers are encouraged to retain tracking information until the repair process is complete.

Inspection Process

All returned systems are inspected upon receipt.

Inspection findings determine whether a claim qualifies for warranty coverage.

Returned consoles showing evidence of:

  • Impact damage
  • Liquid exposure
  • Unauthorized modifications
  • Missing components
  • Customer-caused damage
  • Tampering
  • Third-party repair attempts

may be denied warranty coverage.

If warranty coverage is denied, customers will receive available repair options and associated costs before work proceeds.

No Fault Found Policy

If a returned console is inspected and found to be functioning normally, and no reported defect can be reproduced, Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods reserves the right to return the console without repair and customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

For out-of-warranty services, diagnostic fees apply.

Warranty Period Does Not Reset

Any warranty repair, replacement part, replacement component, replacement console, troubleshooting assistance, goodwill accommodation, or other warranty service provided by Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods does not restart, extend, renew, or reset the original warranty period.

All warranty coverage remains tied to the original delivery date of the original order.

For example, if a warranty repair is performed on Day 90 of the warranty period, the warranty will still expire on Day 100 from the original delivery date.

No additional warranty period is created by any repair, replacement, or warranty service unless explicitly stated in writing by Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods.

Goodwill Repairs and Exceptions

From time to time, Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods may choose to provide assistance, troubleshooting, discounted repairs, replacement parts, shipping accommodations, or other customer service solutions outside of the stated warranty period.

Any such assistance is provided as a one-time goodwill accommodation and does not constitute an admission of defect, create a continuing obligation, extend warranty coverage, or establish a precedent for future claims.

Tampering & Unauthorized Repairs (Warranty Void Clause)

Any attempt to open, modify, repair, or tamper with the console by anyone other than GamerGirl Gameboy Mods will immediately void the 100-day hardware warranty.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Opening the shell

  • Attempting self-repairs or adjustments

  • Installing or removing internal components

  • Work performed by a third-party technician

If a console is received and shows signs of tampering, modification, or unauthorized repair attempts, all warranty coverage is void. Any further repairs will be evaluated and completed at our discretion and may incur additional costs.

We reserve the right to refuse service on any console that has been tampered with.

IPS Screen Pixel Standard

Due to the nature of modern IPS panels:

Fewer than 3 locked pixels
– Within industry tolerance
– Not considered defective

3 or more locked pixels
– Considered defective
– Covered within the 100-day warranty

Locked pixels must be clearly visible in photo or video proof.

Claim Process (Required)

Before filing any dispute, chargeback, or payment claim, you must contact us directly.

To initiate a warranty claim:

• Email katie@gamergirlgameboymods.com
• Provide order information
• Provide clear photo or video proof

Failure to contact us prior to filing a dispute may limit available warranty remedies and will result in all relevant documentation being submitted to the payment processor.

We actively defend and respond to all chargebacks.

No Buyer’s Remorse Returns

We do not accept returns for:

• Change of mind
• “I don’t use it as much as I thought”
• Preference changes
• Comparison purchases
• Custom design regret

All custom artwork (UV printed shells, stickers, etc.) is final sale.

If artwork is approved for print and later changed, a $95 reprint fee applies.

Freight Forwarding Services

Customers who choose to use a freight forwarding company do so at their own risk.

An order is considered delivered, completed, and fulfilled once tracking confirms delivery to the freight forwarding facility listed on the order. The freight forwarding facility is considered the official delivery address for purposes of delivery confirmation, shipping claims, insurance claims, warranty claims, and proof of delivery.

GamerGirl Gameboy Mods is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, delays, customs issues, import fees, missing items, repackaging errors, or any other issues that occur after the package has been delivered to the freight forwarding company. Warranty coverage excludes damage, failures, or other issues caused by or attributable to freight forwarding, including international transit, customs processing, storage, consolidation, repackaging, or third-party handling after delivery to the designated forwarding facility.

The 100-Day Warranty covering defects in parts and workmanship remains in effect; however, the warranty does not cover damage or issues that may occur during freight forwarding, international transit, customs processing, storage, consolidation, repackaging, or handling by the freight forwarding company or any third-party shipping provider after delivery to the forwarding address.

For freight-forwarded orders, the 100-day limited hardware warranty begins on the date the original shipping carrier confirms delivery to the designated freight forwarding facility, regardless of when the package reaches its final international destination.

If warranty service, repair service, inspection, or return shipment is requested for an order that was delivered to a freight forwarding company, all shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. This includes, but is not limited to, shipping the product to GamerGirl Gameboy Mods for inspection or repair, as well as return shipping back to the customer. Shipping costs, customs fees, duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and other import or export charges are not covered under warranty.

Customers using freight forwarding services may be required to provide additional photos, videos, or documentation during the warranty claim process so that the cause of the issue can be properly evaluated. GamerGirl Gameboy Mods reserves the right to deny warranty coverage for damage that is determined to have occurred after successful delivery to the freight forwarding facility. Warranty eligibility will be determined following review of the customer’s documentation and, when necessary, physical inspection of the console. Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for shipment to and from GamerGirlGameboyMods when using a freight forwarding service. If inspection identifies a covered hardware defect, qualifying parts and labor will be provided under the applicable limited warranty.

By using a freight forwarding service, the customer acknowledges and accepts these terms.

Marketplace Purchases & Separate Upgrade Invoices

If a console is purchased through a third-party marketplace (including Etsy) and additional upgrades are purchased separately via direct invoice (Stripe or otherwise), those transactions are separate purchases and may be governed by different terms, payment processors, and refund policies

Upgrade invoices are considered service-based transactions and are not subject to third-party marketplace refund policies.

Payment of a separate upgrade invoice constitutes authorization for Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods to purchase, allocate, reserve, or install parts specifically for that customer’s project.

Upgrade invoices cover custom parts, labor, and services that are:

• Made-to-order
• Installed or allocated specifically for the customer
• Not resellable as new

If the original marketplace transaction is canceled, refunded, or disputed, this does not automatically qualify the separately invoiced upgrades for refund.

Upgrade payments are non-refundable once parts are ordered, allocated, or installed.

At our sole discretion, credit may be issued toward a future build or purchase on our main website.

No cash refunds will be issued for separately invoiced upgrades.

If artwork is approved for print and later changed, a $95 reprint fee applies.

Shipping & Lost Packages

All new builds ship insured with tracking.

Once marked delivered by the carrier, responsibility transfers to the buyer.

We assist with lost package claims but are not liable for carrier delays, theft, or delivery errors.

Orders returned due to failed delivery attempts require the customer to pay re-shipment costs.

International Orders, Duties & Import Taxes

All international shipments are sent Delivered At Place (DAP).

By completing an international purchase, the buyer/customer acknowledges and agrees to responsibility for all import duties and related fees.

This means:

• The buyer is responsible for all import duties, VAT, customs fees, brokerage fees, and local taxes.
• These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost.
• GamerGirlGaming LLC does not collect or prepay duties.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to understand their country’s import laws, taxes, and potential fees prior to purchase.

Failure to pay customs duties does not qualify as grounds for cancellation, refund, or dispute.

Refused, Abandoned, or Unclaimed International Packages

All international shipments are sent Delivered At Place (DAP).

For the purposes of this policy, international shipments are defined as shipments delivered outside of the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, APO, FPO, and DPO addresses.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to understand their country’s import laws, taxes, duties, and potential fees prior to purchase.

Failure to pay customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, VAT, or other import charges does not qualify as grounds for cancellation, refund, chargeback, dispute, replacement, or warranty claim.

If a package is refused, abandoned, unclaimed, returned due to non-payment of import charges, or otherwise not accepted by the buyer, no refund will be issued for shipping charges, duties, taxes, customs fees, or other associated costs.

If a package is returned to GamerGirlGaming LLC due to refusal, abandonment, or non-payment of import charges, the buyer may request reshipment. Any additional shipping costs, insurance costs, duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or related expenses must be paid by the buyer before the package will be shipped again.

Orders that are refused, abandoned, unclaimed, or returned due to non-payment of import charges are not eligible for warranty coverage. Any existing warranty coverage is considered void once delivery is prevented due to the buyer’s failure to pay required import charges.

Send-In Repairs (Non-Warranty)

The following terms apply to all diagnostic and repair services performed by Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods.

Best-Effort Repair Service

Retro gaming hardware is often decades old and may have unknown repair history, prior modifications, hidden damage, corrosion, worn components, or other defects that are not immediately visible.

All repair services are performed on a best-effort basis. While every reasonable effort will be made to successfully diagnose and repair a device, successful repair cannot be guaranteed.

Repair attempts may occasionally result in the discovery of previously unknown defects that render a device non-functional or uneconomical to repair.

By submitting a device for repair, the customer acknowledges that some devices may be determined to be beyond economical or practical repair.

Diagnostic Service

The initial repair purchase covers diagnostic evaluation only.

This service allows Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods to inspect the device, identify known issues, and determine the recommended repair path.

The diagnostic fee does not include repair labor or replacement parts.

Following diagnosis, a repair quote will be provided outlining the recommended repairs, replacement parts, and associated costs.

No repair work will begin until the repair quote has been reviewed and approved by the customer.

Additional Issues Discovered During Repair

Retro gaming hardware may contain hidden faults that are not discovered until disassembly, testing, or repair work has begun.

If additional issues are identified during the repair process, work may be paused and the customer will be contacted regarding any additional repair recommendations and associated costs.

No additional paid work will be performed without customer approval.

Shipping for Repairs

Customers initiating a repair may receive a prepaid shipping label for inbound shipment.

Devices must be shipped within 15 calendar days of the label being issued.

Labels not used within this timeframe may be canceled or become invalid.

If repair service is still desired after the label expires, a replacement label may be required at the customer’s expense.

Exceptions may be granted at the sole discretion of Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods.

Customers are responsible for securely packaging devices for shipment.

Damage caused during transit due to inadequate packaging may affect repair eligibility and may result in additional repair costs.

Repair Authorization

Following diagnosis, a repair quote will be provided.

Repairs will only proceed after customer approval has been received.

If repair authorization is declined, no repair work will be performed beyond the diagnostic service already completed.

Return Shipping

Return shipping is included for completed repairs unless otherwise stated.

If the customer declines the recommended repair after diagnosis, the device may be returned after return shipping has been arranged.

Any diagnostic fees already paid remain non-refundable.

Customer-Supplied Parts

Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods does not guarantee the quality, compatibility, functionality, or longevity of customer-supplied parts.

If customer-supplied parts are used, no warranty is provided on those parts and any failures related to those parts are excluded from repair warranty coverage.

Communication Requirements

Customers are responsible for maintaining communication regarding their repair.

If a repair quote, diagnostic report, or other request for approval has been provided, customers must respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Failure to respond may delay repair completion and return shipment.

Abandoned Property

If no response is received within 90 days after a diagnostic report, repair quote, shipping request, or final repair notification has been provided, the device may be considered abandoned property. This is in accordance with Nebraska law, where GamerGirl Gaming LLC operates and resides.

Abandoned devices may be disposed of, recycled, retained, or used to recover storage, labor, shipping, and administrative costs.

No compensation will be provided for abandoned property. Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods reserves the right to assess reasonable storage fees for devices left unclaimed beyond 90 days.

Repair Warranty

Completed repairs include a 30-day repair warranty beginning on the date the repaired device is marked delivered by the shipping carrier.

No warranty is provided for pre-existing defects that were not part of the approved repair scope

The repair warranty applies only to the specific repair performed and the specific components replaced during that repair.

The repair warranty does not cover:

  • Unrelated failures
  • New failures occurring after repair
  • Customer damage
  • Drops or impact damage
  • Liquid damage
  • Wear and tear
  • Customer modifications
  • Third-party repairs
  • Customer-supplied parts
  • Damage caused by misuse

Warranty coverage is limited to the specific repair work performed.

Repair Warranty Does Not Reset

Any warranty service, additional repair, shipping costs, replacement component, troubleshooting assistance, or goodwill accommodation does not restart, extend, renew, or reset the original 30-day repair warranty period.

Refund Policy for Repairs

Diagnostic services, repair labor, shipping fees, and replacement parts are non-refundable.

Once diagnostic work has begun, labor has been performed, parts have been ordered, or repairs have been completed, no refunds will be issued.

Limitation of Liability

Gamer Girl Gameboy Mods is not responsible for loss of save data, ROM files, firmware, software, game progress, SD card contents, custom configurations, or other digital content stored on a device or accessory submitted for repair.

Customers are responsible for backing up any important data before sending devices for service.

Cartridge Battery Replacement Warranty Policy

All cartridge battery replacements include a 30-day warranty from the date of delivery.

Before installation, every battery is:

  • Voltage tested prior to install
  • Professionally soldered and installed
  • Voltage tested again after installation
  • Verified with a successful in-game test save to ensure proper functionality

Due to the nature of aftermarket replacement batteries and inconsistencies in modern battery manufacturing, warranty coverage is limited to 30 days. While every effort is made to source reliable components and thoroughly test each installation, long-term battery lifespan cannot be guaranteed.

Warranty covers:

  • Improper installation
  • Failure of the battery within the 30-day warranty period
  • Save functionality issues directly related to the battery replacement service

Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal battery depletion over time, or after the 30-day warranty
  • In-game warning messages or software-related notifications that may persist after battery replacement
  • Known game-specific behavior such as “The internal battery has run dry” messages in Pokémon cartridges, as replacing the battery does not always remove or reset these notifications
  • Damage caused by misuse, liquids, corrosion, drops, or tampering
  • Cartridges previously repaired or modified by others after service
  • Failures occurring outside the 30-day warranty window

Please note: modern replacement cartridge batteries are aftermarket manufactured components and do not always match the lifespan or consistency of original OEM batteries from the 1990s/2000s.

By purchasing this service, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these terms.

Initiating a chargeback without first seeking warranty service may delay resolution of the issue.

Mandatory Contact Requirement

Dispute Response Policy

In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute, we will submit:

• Proof of delivery with tracking confirmation
• Customer agreement to our published policies
• Timestamped product listing showing “No Refund” terms
• Warranty terms showing repair-only coverage
• Documentation of communication history
• Evidence of build completion and testing

All disputes are actively defended.

Abuse of Dispute System

Filing a chargeback for a product that was delivered as described, custom-built to order, or covered under a repair-only warranty may constitute misuse of the payment processor’s dispute system.

We reserve the right to provide full documentation to Stripe, PayPal, and/or the issuing bank.

All disputes are actively defended.
